Open to 6th Grade students across the school, the musical combines music and theater in a fun, supportive environment where creativity and confidence take center stage. From auditions to rehearsals to the big performance, students work together as a team to put on a show they’ll never forget!
Whether it’s behind the scenes or under the lights, every role is important—and the magic of the musical is something the whole school community can enjoy.

Student Government

The Hares Hill Student Government is comprised of one class-elected representative from each homeroom in second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. Members meet once a month to communicate school accomplishments and concerns and to share and implement ideas that support our school community.
Our 6th graders will take on a special leadership role, with two representatives from each homeroom as well as an executive board. These students will help guide meetings, lead initiatives, and serve as role models for the younger grades. Their leadership will be woven into school culture, supporting a sense of responsibility, service, and school pride.
To promote connection and teamwork across grade levels, students will participate in fun and engaging team-building activities such as kindness challenges, a school-wide Rock-Paper-Scissors competition, and our "Pass the Positivity" challenge. These experiences help strengthen relationships, boost morale, and create a sense of unity throughout the school.
Student Government members will also plan and lead community service projects, organize school-wide spirit days, and collaborate with the faculty PBIS Team and Home and School Association on initiatives that have a positive impact throughout the year.

Band, Chorus and Orchestra

Music Opportunities at Hares Hill Elementary
At Hares Hill, we are excited to offer a robust and well-rounded music program, including chorus, band, and orchestra—just like the other elementary schools in our district. These programs provide students with the opportunity to develop their musical talents, build performance skills, and experience the joy of making music together.
Students will have the chance to learn vocal techniques, master instruments, and participate in school concerts and special events that showcase their hard work and creativity. Whether it's singing in the chorus, playing in the band, or performing in the orchestra, there’s a place for every young musician to shine.
Stay tuned for more information on how to sign up, as well as meeting times and rehearsal schedules. We can’t wait to make music with you! Grade Level: 3rd to 6th depending on the activity

Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol is open to our 6th grade student leaders. Members assist with arrival, dismissal, and the organization of special events. In addition to their daily responsibilities, Safety Patrol members engage in leadership development by building skills in responsibility, teamwork, and communication. These students are recognized as respected and valued helpers throughout the school.

At the end of 5th grade, students are invited to apply for Safety Patrol by writing an essay expressing their interest in joining as 6th graders. In their essay, they must explain how they demonstrate Hares Hill’s HOPS: Helpful, Optimistic, Prepared, and Safe.
